GPR Processing and Modeling Software

  • Process individual waveforms, pseudo-sections, or plan view maps.
  • Incorporates Golden Software's Surfer package for high quality graphical output.
  • Import data file from leading GPR manufacturers (GSSI, Sensors and Software, and Mala).
  • Includes support for experimental USGS equipment (RTDGPR, ALLTEM, VETEM).
  • Many gridding, filtering, and migration routines.
  • 2D Modeling through incorporated 2DRaydar (Powers).
  • Import 3D modeling results from GPRMax FDTD simulator. Use GP Workbench to extrapolate FDTD results to distances far from the antennas.
  • Source code available for the original release.

This software was written while the author (C. Oden) was working on his PhD dissertation. It will be updated periodically. Return to this page for updates. Suggestions are welcome!

Gridding file bug work around

The grid file editor in GP Workbench has some bugs that may affect processing files without trace location information in the original data file. These bugs can be circumnavigated with the following steps:
1. Importing a data file as usual.
2. Optionally, select Process, Grid Parameters to open the grid file editor dialog. Enter the appropriate information and exit. The dialog expects to have different values for the first and last X and Y positions. If the position does not change for X or Y, simply add 0.000001 to the last X or Y value.
3. Open the grid file (i.e. mydatafile.xyz) with a text editor. The grid file editor dialog may have created a file with incorrect values (especially if the X or Y values are decreasing along the line). Edit the grid file as necessary.
4. After saving the grid file, press the grid button in the toolbar and proceed as usual.
